IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT RECRUITMENT

KEEP THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS SHORT

Keeping the recruitment process short has many benefits, both for your company and for the candidates. Regardless of whether you manage the process yourself or hire a recruitment company.

THE BEST CANDIDATES ARE AVAILABLE FOR 10 DAYS

The best candidates are attractive to many employers and are likely to be in several different recruitment processes at the same time and do not have to wait for your particular company. Make sure to be quick and continuously feedback to the candidate to keep the commitment up. Show that you are interested.

MAXIMUM ONE MONTH

81% of candidates expect a recruitment process shorter than one month. Only 40% of companies indicate that it is a timeline that they can keep. When you start a recruitment process, regardless of whether you manage it yourself or hire a professional, it is important that you set aside time for interviews right from the start. It is often there that the schedule falls apart, other things come in between and the recruitment has to miss the mark.

PROLONGED PROCESS = LOST CANDIDATES

6 out of 10 candidates say no due to the protracted recruitment process. A slow process with scarce feedback and long waits between contacts does not make anyone happy. Many people in a company act quickly and professionally in their everyday work, but when it comes to recruitment (which is not most people's main task), it often looks different. It is difficult to prioritize recruitment on top of all other regular tasks and it all takes time. Either you set a proper schedule and stick to it, or you hire a recruitment company.

THE PROCESS REFLECTS THE COMPANY AT LARGE

9 out of 10 candidates say that a positive or negative experience with the recruitment process could make them change their mind about the role or the company. The first personal image of your company is given to the candidate in the recruitment process. Ensure that the recruitment process gives the image of the company that you want and is consistent with the company in general. A lengthy process can give the impression of a slow and bureaucratic company. A process where the conditions are changed with new role descriptions etc. can make the company feel unstructured with managers who do not act thoughtfully.
