CoGig AB (company registration number 5590518790) is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data within our operations, on our website, and in our talent programs Female Leader Engineer, Female Technical Engineer, Female Tech Engineer, and Female Leader Engineer Finland.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and always process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

information required to participate in our talent programs, recruitment processes, or events

WHY DO WE PROCESS PERSONAL DATA?

We process personal data in order to:

  • manage applications for jobs and talent programs

  • administer our talent programs

  • communicate with participants, candidates, and partners

  • send invitations to events and networking activities

  • provide relevant information about our services and programs

  • improve our website and services

  • compile statistics and develop our operations

We only process personal data when we have a lawful basis for doing so under the GDPR.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

Depending on the circumstances, we process your personal data on the basis of:

Legitimate interests

For example, when we contact companies or individuals in professional roles where we believe there is a mutual interest in our services.

Contract or steps taken prior to entering into a contract

When we process your application for a talent program or recruitment process.

When you explicitly consent to us storing your information for future career opportunities, sending newsletters, or other marketing communications.

JOB APPLICATIONS

When you submit a job application, we process the information you provide in order to manage the recruitment process.

If you choose to give your consent, we may also retain your information for future recruitment opportunities.

APPLICATIONS TO OUR TALENT PROGRAMS

When you apply to one of our talent programs, we process the information you provide in order to assess your application and administer the program.

Selected representatives from the program’s partner companies will have access to your application during the recruitment and program period, as well as for up to one year after the program has ended. This allows them to contact you regarding career opportunities, recruitment opportunities, and relevant events.

If you consent, we may also retain your information for future talent programs, recruitment opportunities, and invitations to events.

COGIG’S BUSINESS NETWORK

If you are accepted into one of our talent programs, you become part of CoGig’s business network for female engineers. To administer your membership, we retain relevant contact information until you choose to leave the network or request that your information be deleted.

We encourage you to let us know if your contact details change.

REFERRAL FROM A FRIEND

If someone refers you to us, we process the contact information provided in order to inform you about relevant talent programs or career opportunities.

The information we may process includes:

  • name

  • email address

  • school or university

  • field of study

  • year of study

  • current employer

The information is used solely for this purpose and is deleted afterwards.

CONTACT BASED ON LEGITIMATE INTERESTS

We may process contact details of individuals in professional roles where we believe our services are relevant. The information is obtained from publicly available sources, such as company websites or LinkedIn.

You may object to this processing or ask us to delete your information at any time.

COOKIES

We use cookies to improve the functionality of our website, analyze how it is used, and provide you with a better user experience.

WHO MAY ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

  • our partner companies (when participating in talent programs)

  • providers of IT and recruitment systems

  • providers of email and marketing systems

  • other data processors that help us operate our business

We never share personal data to a greater extent than is necessary for the relevant purpose.

TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EU/EEA

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the EU/EEA.

Where this occurs, we ensure that the transfer is carried out in accordance with the GDPR, for example through the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We never retain personal data for longer than necessary. As a general rule, the following retention periods apply:

  • Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you have provided consent for a longer retention period.

  • Talent program applications: up to 12 months after the program has ended.

  • Business network: for as long as your membership continues.

  • Newsletters and marketing: until you withdraw your consent or object to the processing.

  • Business contacts: for as long as a legitimate interest exists.

After this, the information is deleted or anonymized.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

receive information about the personal data we process about you

  • request access to your personal data

  • have inaccurate information corrected

  • request the deletion of your personal data

  • request restriction of processing

  • object to processing based on legitimate interests

  • withdraw your consent

  • in certain circumstances, have your personal data transferred to another data controller (data portability)
