SODEXO AND COGIG WANT TO GIVE WOMEN MORE POWER

FEMALE LEADER ENGINEER

The global service company Sodexo and the recruitment company CoGig are starting a collaboration to get more women interested in management jobs. Through the Female Leader Engineer talent program, female engineering students get, among other things, the opportunity to visit well-established companies that all emphasize the importance of equal workplaces.

"We are expanding and are in need of talent who can eventually lead large and complex assignments. For us, the collaboration with CoGig is about not missing out on important skills. By being part of the talent program, we get the opportunity to show the development opportunities available within Sodexo and how we work to support our leaders," says Peter Mellin, CEO of Sodexo AB.

Female Leader Engineer is a talent program for female engineering students at the end of their education, with the main aim of inspiring more women to take a leadership role. The program is a meeting place for Swedish business and engineering students with leadership potential. Via a tailor-made program with, among other things, visits to the partner companies, the participants gain a deeper understanding of the companies' operations and challenges, as well as the opportunity to discover which roles they can take on in the future.
Sodexo joins the program with the already existing partner companies Ericsson, Fortum, Kone, Sandvik, Scania, Skanska, SSAB, AFRY and Stora Enso. The companies represent a wide range but have in common that they all highlight the importance of equality.

"I am so happy to welcome Sodexo to the program and look forward to contributing together to more women in leading positions," says Lena Larsson, CEO at CoGig.

The next round of the program will run in autumn 2023 and will end with a gala in November when one of the participants will be crowned this year's Female Leader Engineer. The participant who receives the award is offered a personal development program via Anna Landegren and Nya Ledarskapet.
