COGIG PARTNERS WITH NASDAQ FOR MORE WOMEN IN TECH

FEMALE TECH ENGINEER

CoGig has started a collaboration with Nasdaq as a partner company to the development program Female Tech Engineer with the aim of getting more women to be involved in developing the systems and products of the future in tech. The problematic situation of too few women in tech needs to change. The core of the problem is the challenges of both finding and attracting women, and CoGig can contribute there via its network of female engineers as well as development programs and recruitment services.

Female Tech Engineer is a talent program for female and non-binary engineering students at the end of their degree, with the primary aim of inspiring more women and non-binary people to work in tech. The program is a unique meeting place for engineering students and Swedish business. Through an extensive program with, among other things, exclusive visits to the partner companies, the 40 selected participants gain a deeper understanding of the companies' operations and challenges, as well as the opportunity to discover the great variety of jobs that exist within tech.

"Through the partnership with Female Tech Engineer, Nasdaq wants to contribute to highlighting more career paths for female engineers and build relationships with the talents of the future, on whom we are completely dependent to continue our innovation journey," says Nicklas Brändström, SVP Marketplace Technology, Nasdaq.

Nasdaq built the world's first electronic stock exchange in the 1970s, and since then has continued to drive technological development for the world's global markets by building solutions that enable liquidity flows, create transparency and democratize the economy. Nasdaq's purpose and vision extends beyond technology and is about contributing to building a more inclusive economy for everyone.

" In order to achieve our vision, we of course need strong technical competence - Stockholm is Nasdaq's largest development office. But to create technology that contributes to an inclusive economy, we must also include a diversified talent pool, where we and our entire industry still need to work harder to attract and enable more women to consider a career in this industry," says Nicklas.

Nasdaq joins the program with the already existing partner companies, Husqvarna Group, Mycronic and Nya Ledarskapet. The companies represent a wide range but have in common that they all realize the importance of gender equality.

"I am so happy to welcome Nasdaq to the program and look forward to contributing together to more women being attracted to roles in tech," says Lena Larsson, CEO at CoGig.

The next round of the program starts at the end of this year and ends with a gala in the middle of February 2024 when one of the participants is named Female Tech Engineer of the year and receives a personal development program via Anna Landegren and the New Leadership.
