COGIG AND NKT IN COLLABORATION TO INCREASE EQUALITY IN LEADING ROLES IN TECHNOLOGY

FEMALE LEADER ENGINEER

NKT has chosen to become a partner company to the Female Leader Engineer talent program run by the recruitment company CoGig with the aim of getting more women and non-binary people in leading positions at technology companies. The problematic situation of too few women in technology needs to change. The core of the problem is the challenges of partly finding and partly attracting women, and CoGig can contribute there via its network of female engineers as well as talent programs and recruitment services.

Female Leader Engineer is a talent program for engineering students at the end of their education, with the main aim of inspiring more women and non-binary people to work in technology in leadership roles. The program is a unique meeting place for Swedish business and engineering students with leadership potential. Through an extensive program with, among other things, exclusive visits to the partner companies, the 25 selected participants gain a deeper understanding of the companies' operations and challenges, as well as the opportunity to discover the types of roles they can take on in the future.
"We aim to promote an organization where people from different backgrounds are given equal opportunity based on merit and can perform at their best level regardless of gender, creed, sexual orientation, social class, nationality, age, ethnicity, physical ability or other personal characteristics or attributes. We believe that diversity in educational backgrounds, personalities and perspectives will contribute to our organization's capabilities " - Denis Schuler, Executive Vice President Accessories business line at NKT

NKT joins the program with the already existing partner companies AFRY, Ericsson, Fortum, Kone, Sandvik, Scania, Skanska, Sodexo and Stora Enso . The companies represent a wide range but have in common that they all highlight the importance of equality.

"We are so happy to have NKT I Female Leader Engineer. They are an excellent and welcome addition to the program and I look forward to working together to increase gender equality in leading positions" , says Lena Larsson, CEO at CoGig.

The next round of the program will run in the fall of 2024 and will end with a gala in November when one of the participants will be crowned this year's Female Leader Engineer. The participant who receives the award is offered a personal development program via Anna Landegren and New Leadership.
