Female Leader Engineer offers female and non-binary engineering students the opportunity to meet some of Sweden's largest and most influential companies through a unique talent program. Our mission is to maximize participants' potential and business networks while contributing to greater equality in leadership positions. This fall, we are celebrating Female Leader Engineer’s 10th anniversary with 25 new participants and 10 partner companies. Applications open today!
Rebecka Jonsson, a participant in Female Leader Engineer 2021, says:
"Being part of Female Leader Engineer boosted my confidence as I entered the job market and helped me realize that my education fits into many different industries."
Partner companies play a crucial role during the talent program as participants get to know the companies and build valuable connections throughout. Participants are often offered thesis project placements, trainee programs, or other entry-level leadership roles. This is a unique opportunity for partner companies to recruit women and non-binary engineers with high leadership potential from Swedish universities.
This year’s partner companies are Afry, Ericsson, Fortum, KONE, Sandvik, Scania, Skanska, SSAB, Sodexo, Stora Enso, and Nya Ledarskapet.
"By highlighting female and non-binary engineering students aspiring to become leaders and creating a platform where they can meet some of Sweden's largest industrial companies, Female Leader Engineer aims to contribute to a more balanced power dynamic between women and men in the business world. Therefore, we are proud and excited to, for the tenth year in a row, open applications for Female Leader Engineer together with our partner companies," says Emma Fredriksson, Program Manager for Female Leader Engineer.
Applications for Female Leader Engineer close on September 6.
